Food was good but flies liked our food, too. They are not aloud to have a fly swatter. I would have killed them.
Food is decent... service could be better
Will start by saying this place has really gone downhill in the last year. My old review was very positive. I used to enjoy coming regularly for yummy diner food & friendly service. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. For starters the menu recently underwent some notable price hikes. All while the portion sizes have clearly gotten smaller. Several recent visits have been shockingly bad. One visit I order a Reuben w/extra sauerkraut (which I've ordered many times before) & it comes out looking like the saddest sandwich I'd ever seen. It's got hardly any kraut & also seems to be missing about half the normal meat on it. Server was super nice about fixing it. She brings it back & I feel as if I should file a domestic abuse charge. The sandwich looked like it had been taken out back & beaten up. The bread on one half was torn & meat and sauerkraut were beside the sandwich instead of inside it. It honestly looked like the cook who "fixed" it got pissed & destroyed it. It kinda made me mad. The server though was once again sweet as pie and & took it off the bill. She also made a telling comment about one of the cooks while rolling her eyes. My suspicion seemed correct. The cook was angry it was sent back. During another visit is when I noticed the price increases on the menu. I got a patty melt (it was delicious but skimpy) onion rings (very small portion) & tea. My total was about $18. Kind of ridiculous IMO. I want to say I love the servers here. They are down home, friendly & accommodating. Kinda sucks the place has taken such a nosedive.
Good service & great food with a 50' kick to it
Great environment. Friendly staff. Great food. A little pricey but worth the money.
